"When you have a child in the NICU, it's not just your baby-it's a piece of your heart that you leave behind every day. It's humbling to think there are people who care enough about others to make donations to this wonderful NICU."
Mother of NICU patient at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's
Though there are many reasons parents may have to be away from their baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)—such as caring for older children, going back to work or financial strain—being apart can be an emotional and nerve-racking experience. Yet, interaction with their infant is vital during this critical time.
These barriers are particularly significant for families who reside in rural regions, or for remote parents and grandparents who cannot be physically present during a critical care episode.
With AngelEye Health® cameras, families have access to a secure, live-stream video feed of their infant at any time, helping to reduce stress and anxiety and promote bonding even when parents can't be at the hospital.
Benefits of AngelEye Health® cameras:
Already, AngelEye Health® cameras are making a difference for families of our NICU in Temple, thanks to our generous donors. With your help, we are working to implement the AngelEye Health® system in our other Central Texas NICUs in Waco, College Station and Round Rock.
