As more people move to the Hill Country and Highland Lakes regions, these communities are experiencing a significant increase in demand for additional high-quality healthcare services. With Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Marble Falls and surrounding clinics in Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay, Burnet, Kingsland, San Saba, and Johnson City, residents in this area have access to physicians in more than 16 specialties, diagnostic services, and a 24-hour emergency department.

Philanthropic Opportunities

Expansion of Services

Doctor and patient interactionThe population around Austin is expected to reach one million by 2025, and by extension surrounding areas such as Marble Falls are also expected to grow. Our goal is to provide the highest-quality, compassionate healthcare to residents of the Hill Country, without the need to travel outside their home communities. Expanding the capacity and services at our hospital and clinics is crucial to meet the demand in this growing area. Some of our immediate needs include:

  • Expand specialty clinic on campus
  • Acquire one additional CT scanner
  • Finish out and install two additional operating rooms

Low-Dose CT Scanner

CT scanner

Due to the growth of our community, the demand for high-quality imaging services continues to increase. We are currently raising funds for the purchase of a second CT scanner to help alleviate the bottleneck that frequently occurs, especially during high volume periods in the emergency room. The low-dose CT scanner minimizes radiation exposure, produces high-resolution 3D and 4D images, and can be configured to specific needs ranging from emergency room evaluations to clinical diagnoses and intervention procedures.
