Heroes for Health
Join us for this unique event benefiting Baylor Scott & White Clinic – Georgetown, where we’ll celebrate both donors and patients as heroes—honoring courage and fueling life-changing care for our community.
Our 2026 goal: 3D mammography unit
Every day, women in our community face delays in getting the mammograms they need—time that can make all the difference in catching breast cancer early. Your support will help bring a new mammogram unit to our clinic, giving more women timely access to this lifesaving screening.
By the numbers
- One mammography unit can serve 14 patients per day.
- Our clinic has seen a 15% growth in mammogram patient volumes over the last six years.
- Even with expanded clinic hours, our wait list is six months long.
Your impact
With an additional mammography unit, we can dramatically reduce our wait list and serve more women in need of this vital screening.
- Wait time reduced by 50% (from six months to three months)
- Our capacity would double to 28 patients per day
- Ability to serve 5,000 additional patients annually
Benefits of 3D mammography
- Creates a more complete and higher quality image of the breast
- Helps physicians find cancers earlier and with greater accuracy, dramatically improving patient outcomes
- More effective for women with dense breast tissue
- Reduces false positives and the need for further imaging
Why early detection matters
- Improves survival rates
- Reduces intensity and complexity of treatment
- Reduces the financial burden of treatment by 40-70%
- Reduces long-term complications
