Lakeway celebrates 10 years of excellence
This year, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lakeway proudly celebrates its 10-year anniversary of serving the Lakeway community and the Greater Austin Region. Since opening as a Baylor Scott & White facility in 2016, the medical center has grown into a trusted healthcare destination, expanding specialty care, investing in advanced technologies and earning recognition for exceptional patient outcomes.
Recent advancements include endoscopic ultrasound for digestive and lung diseases; surgically targeted radiation therapy for brain tumors; advanced surgical treatments for epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease and pituitary tumors; and expanded electrophysiology services for heart rhythm care.

Expanding cardiac care in Pflugerville
The Baylor Scott & White Heart & Vascular Institute continues to expand access to advanced cardiovascular care across Central Texas. A newly opened cardiovascular lab at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Pflugerville provides advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angiograms and device implantations.
The institute is also advancing innovative treatments, including transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR) for patients who may not be candidates for open-heart surgery. Your support helps Baylor Scott & White invest in these facilities, technology and programs that bring advanced heart care closer to home.
Technology advancements reduce treatment time for cancer patients
Advancements in cancer care are improving the patient experience at Baylor Scott & White Cancer Center – Round Rock. New radiation therapy techniques allow some breast cancer patients to complete treatment in as few as six sessions, compared to 30 in the past. More precise radiation delivery helps protect healthy tissue, reducing side effects, clinic visits and disruptions to daily life.
