New local leadership

Please join us in welcoming Greg Haralson and Chris Lancaster, who both joined our Central Texas leadership team in January.

Temple/Central Texas
We are excited to welcome Greg Haralson as president of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple and the Central Texas region. Greg joins us from Memorial Hermann - Texas Medical Center, the system’s flagship academic medical center in Houston, where he served as CEO of the facility.

As a board member of the Texas Hospital Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives’ Southeast Texas Chapter, Greg continuously shows dedication to service. Beyond career achievements, Greg is an Eagle Scout and has been consistently honored for his community and healthcare initiatives, including being named one of Becker’s 100 Academic Medical Center CEOs to Know in 2023.

“It is my great honor to join this renowned healthcare system with a more than 125-year legacy of service and dedication to the Temple community,” Greg said. “I am confident that, with the help of our generous donors, our image as a beacon of healthcare excellence in the heart of Texas will only intensify in the coming years.”

Waco
One of our own has returned to Waco as president of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Hillcrest. Chris Lancaster served as director of clinic, hospital and financial operations for our Waco campus from 2012 to 2017. During that time, he was instrumental in growing several of our hospital services, including surgeries and imaging.

Chris most recently served as CEO of Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He has over 17 years of experience in the industry, and is committed to quality, safety, experience and engagement, and building a culture of trust with team members and
the community.

Chris serves on the leadership development council for the Texas Hospital Association, is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and was named this year to the rising star list as one of 67 healthcare leaders under 40 by Becker’s Hospital Review.

“Returning to Waco to serve the Central Texas community is a great joy for me and my family,” Chris said. “I look forward to engaging with our local philanthropists to steward their gifts for the advancement of care in our community.”
