The hospital funding game

It’s your turn to play hospital CFO.

A patient receives care at your hospital. After treatment, the hospital bills the patient’s insurance company for $100. However, the hospital does not keep most of that amount.

As CFO, it’s your job to allocate that $100 across the hospital’s expenses. How much do you think you’ll have left in your capital budget for future improvements to your hospital such as new or renovated facilities, advanced equipment or patient-centered programs?
