Over the past several years, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Brenham has experienced significant growth in the need for pain management services.
Chronic pain can get in the way of living life, limiting a patient’s ability to accomplish daily tasks or participate fully in the activities they love. The physical and emotional toll can lead to excessive reliance on medication, mental health issues like depression or anxiety, and an increased risk for other health problems like heart disease. Chronic pain can even have economic consequences when patients are unable to work.
A patient’s quality of life dramatically improves when pain is properly treated with a plan that fits their needs. At Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Brenham, pain management specialists focus on managing the sensory and emotional impact of pain and on restoring the body’s function.
32% increase in the number of pain management procedures performed annually since fiscal year 2022.
You can alleviate pain
With your help, the pain management clinic in Brenham can expand to meet the growing needs of our patients, with enhanced privacy and comfort, as well as reduced wait times through greater flexibility and availability of appointments.
“For patients like ours, this clinic expansion isn’t just a building,” said Nick McKernan, MD, an anesthesiologist specializing in pain management at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Brenham. “It’s a lifeline to managing their pain and living their lives. Your generosity will directly help us expand care to more people, in a space designed for healing.”
