Looking to the future

To continue to meet the needs of our patients, our goals for the NeuroHealth Institute include:

Patient Access and Satisfaction

  • Achieve top rankings nationally in patient satisfaction and quality/patient safety metrics
  • Grow patient access across the greater Austin region by recruiting several providers, including a vascular neurologist
  • Further develop capabilities in each NeuroHealth subspecialty with funding for advanced imaging, navigation, and robotic technologies

Collaboration

  • Foster collaboration and facilitate integration of neurological services across the region
  • Structure and launch clinical/computational neuroscience research programs in collaboration with local universities
  • Foster collaboration with industry leaders and establish a Visiting Surgeon Program (VSP)

Nursing

  • Develop educational program to raise competencies and encourage additional certifications/sub-specializations, including Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN)
