How you can help

Your gifts could support important needs such as:

Advanced facilities

  • Catheterization laboratories (cath labs) for minimally invasive tests and procedures that can be performed with a catheter and usually do not require general anesthesia
  • Cardiothoracic surgery suites for more complex and invasive procedures, such as open heart surgery, or those requiring general anesthesia

Specialized equipment

  • Cardiac mapping system that uses special catheters to create a 3D map of the electrical activity in a patient’s heart to help physicians visualize the areas that may be causing an arrhythmia
  • Echocardiogram and vascular sonography equipment that use sound waves to create images of the heart or blood vessels
  • Nuclear medicine cameras that can help physicians detect issues with organ function by using a small amount of radioactive material that accumulates in areas of the body where there could be disease or abnormality
  • CT scanner and cardiac MRI scanner that produce detailed images of the heart, arteries and valves and can help physicians evaluate heart function, structural issues or tissue damage
  • Electrophysiologic ablation equipment to treat abnormal heart tissue that can cause faulty electrical signals and irregular heartbeats
